The Drexel Heights Fire District board on June 26 authorized an intergovernmental agreement (Resolution 2026-13) with Santa Rita Fire District and Rincon Valley Fire District to provide cooperative services, including inspector support. Chief Douglas Chappell explained that Rincon Valley has "a qualified inspector/investigator that fills a vacancy for us" and described the arrangement as a no-cost agreement. The motion by James Bertrand, seconded by Elaine Aldrete, passed 3-1 with Laura Dailey opposed.
