Commissioners say housing should be central to Green Rivers general plan update
During the Aug. 18 work session, commissioners agreed that housing (including possible Main Street housing and accessory units) must be a core chapter of the general plan and flagged a need to reexamine the existing housing plan.

Commissioners at the Aug. 18 Planning Commission work session said housing should be a central focus of the general plan update and that the existing housing plan likely needs revision. Commissioner Konee Black noted that the commission "do[es] have a housing plan" and suggested the group look again at where housing should be allowed, including the possibility of permitting housing on portions of Main Street.
