The Trappe Town Council introduced Ordinance 6-2025 on Sept. 3, 2025, which would regulate the placement of refuse and other waste receptacles within town limits. Commissioner Rose Potter moved to introduce the ordinance and Commissioner Walter Chase seconded; the motion to introduce passed 4-1 with Commissioner Brian Schmidt recorded as voting no.
