Cemetery trustees begin gate work, plan tree-removal bids after Town Meeting appropriations

Trustees reported blacksmith Gary Kalajian has begun work on new Kaime Cemetery gates; Town Meeting appropriations include $35,000 for dangerous tree removal, $9,000 for cemetery tree removal and $7,000 for general cemetery expenses. Trustees toured 21 cemeteries and requested involvement in bid review for the tree-removal project.

The Cemetery Trustees told the Board that blacksmith Gary Kalajian began work in early April on new iron gates for Kaime Cemetery using funds from the Martha Dodge Gilkerson Trust.
