The Lafayette City Council unanimously adopted CO-047-2026 on June 16, declaring the Concrete Lined Coulee Maintenance-Repairs 2025 Project a public necessity and authorizing acquisition of the rights-of-way and property interests necessary for construction. The ordinance gives staff authority to pursue amicable acquisition or, if required, to use the proper expropriation process.
