Lancaster County reports fewer direct HAZMAT deployments, faster response times under new contract
County staff reported a shift to more consults and fewer full-team HAZMAT responses after contracting with Lebanon County CSOT: 46 incidents in the past year (22 consults, 15 duty officer responses, nine full-team responses), a 64% decrease in full-team scene responses and improved average response times.

Lancaster County officials told commissioners on Aug. 25 that a year after entering a formal agreement with Lebanon County Special Operations Team (CSOT) for primary HAZMAT response, the county's incident profile and response times have improved.
