Goodhue County approves rezoning for 40-acre 'Ryan Addition' conservation subdivision

The Goodhue County Board voted to amend the county zoning map to rezone 40 acres in Belle Creek Township from A-1 (Agricultural Protection) to CS (Conservation Subdivision) and approved a preliminary/final plat that creates a single lot to be called the "Ryan Addition." The board said the rezoning is consistent with the county comprehensive plan and subdivision regulations and accepted the Planning Advisory Commission recommendation.

Approval included conditions. The applicant must record the conservation subdivision for the 20 acres shown as outlot A before constructing a home on Lot 1, and the final plat must be recorded within 180 days of county board approval unless an extension is granted under the ordinance. The board recorded findings addressing compliance with Article 35 (Conservation Subdivisions) and other zoning and subdivision standards.

The public hearing drew no public comment, and the board moved through opening and closing the hearing before adopting the ordinance and findings. The action was recorded as carried unanimously in the minutes.
