After a public hearing with no speakers, the council adopted ordinances repealing and recreating multiple sections of the Monroe City Code building code (sections 4-1-7, 4-1-9 and repealing 4-1-23).

The Judiciary and Ordinance Review Committee brought forward ordinances that would repeal and recreate sections 4‑1‑7 and 4‑1‑9 of the Monroe City Code and repeal section 4‑1‑23. The Chair opened a public hearing; no members of the public spoke. The council then closed the hearing, read the ordinance language and approved the measures by unanimous roll call.
