The Board unanimously adopted an amended Chapter 45 of the county code to bring environmental regulations into compliance with recent DEQ rules and to incorporate stockpile regulations after a prior audit.

Director of Planning & Community Development Leon Hughes explained a repeal and replacement of Chapter 45 of the Caroline County Code to align the county’s environmental regulations with recent Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) requirements identified in a prior audit. The model ordinance incorporates recently adopted stockpile regulations and was presented during a public hearing; there were no speakers from the public.
