Smith County Communications reports grant and training; commissioners seek improved incident notification

Allen Lanus told the commissioners that Smith County Communications was awarded funding from Inez Reed and that staff recently attended APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials) training and a FEMA course. Lanus reported an ongoing battery-backup issue being worked on and said Kent Levin will attend APCO.
