Senator Cash (Senator from Anderson) used a point of personal interest on Jan. 22 to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and called for the state to enact stronger protections for unborn children. He said the overturning of Roe in June 2022 made the duty to protect fetal life a state responsibility and criticized the current heartbeat law as an inadequate "resting place."
