Senators recognized visiting Lee County teachers, Goodwill leadership, PLTA and community bankers; the chamber unanimously adopted several short resolutions (Engineer Days) and handled a set of returned house bills by unanimous consent.

The Senate took time for ceremonial recognitions early in the day. The senator from Kershaw asked the body to welcome teachers from the Lee County School District visiting the State House; the chamber stood and greeted them.
