Moab city and Grand County officials discussed using senior services and senior housing as part of local economic development at a joint meeting April 17. Mayor Joette Langianese said 20 percent of Grand County’s population is 55 or older and introduced efforts to develop a master plan for the Moab Area Project for Seniors (MAPS), including exploring parcels near the hospital campus for future housing.
