River Heights voted to conditionally adopt a resolution increasing solid-waste charges to reflect a 4.9% contract increase proposed by the hauler and arranged through a consortium. Staff explained the increase is in the contract and that some line items (city administrative charge and a $1 communication fee attributed to Logan City) are confusing to residents. The council requested verification of the figures before the change goes into effect Oct. 1.
