Committee confirms multiple board appointments and legislative clerk
The Finance Committee unanimously confirmed several appointments including to county boards (Agricultural & Farm Land Protection, Veterans Memorial Arena Board, Soil & Water Conservation, IDA and Local Development Corporation) and appointed David P. Goguen as Employment and Training Director I and Michael V. Tanzini as Clerk of the Legislature.

During its Dec. 30, 2025 meeting the Broome County Finance Committee confirmed a slate of appointments and personnel actions. Resolutions confirmed appointments to the Broome County Agricultural and Farm Land Protection Board; the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena Board of Directors; the Broome County Soil and Water Conservation District; and the Broome County Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors. The committee also adopted a resolution appointing members to the Broome County Local Development Corporation under the New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. Each of these confirmations carried unanimously (Ayes-5, Nays-0).
