The Trappe Town Council reviewed a single bid from Distinctive Landscaping for the town’s grass-cutting and landscaping needs and voted May 6 not to award the contract at this time. The contractor’s bid was $42,334.00 if the company provided mulch and flowers or $41,694.00 if the town supplied those items. President Newnam moved to have town employees continue the responsibilities rather than award to the single bidder; the motion passed by unanimous vote.
