The Assumption Parish Finance Committee authorized an amendment to the audit contract to fund additional testing into procurement and contract execution after samples in the general audit raised concerns. Committee members said auditors found instances where contracts should have been executed but were not on file, and the firm recommended pulling a larger sample and conducting in‑depth testing to determine whether noncompliance is isolated or systemic.
