Rice County reports progress on Roberts Lake Boulevard repairs, retaining wall and bridge projects
Highway staff said Roberts Lake Boulevard (the 2014 FEMA slide area) and a retaining wall on County Road 93 are under construction, County Road 1 resurfacing was recently completed, and two bridge replacements on County Road 16 will move to preconstruction and funding agreements in coming weeks.

Dennis Luby, speaking for Rice County highways, told the committee two construction projects remain active: repairs at the Roberts Lake Boulevard FEMA slide area and a modular-block retaining wall south of Walmart on County Road 93. “I think as of today, we have 2 ongoing construction projects,” Luby said, and he reported County Road 1 pavement preservation from Dundas to the interstate was recently completed.
