Rice County awards bridge contract, approves paving work and several final payments

Dennis, Rice County’s highway director, presented a set of construction and maintenance items. He recommended awarding contract 2678 (two bridge projects north and west of Morristown) to Minnewa, which submitted the low bid of $691,519.60. He also recommended awarding a paving apron job at the Lonsdale shop to M and W Black Topping for $31,505 and presented several final-payment amounts to close prior projects (including contract 2672 for $9,200.66 and contract 2671 for $3,463.81).
