Brenda Tamayo Pagan, program manager with Kings County Behavioral Health, asked the board to adopt a resolution proclaiming September 2026 as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month to expand local prevention, intervention and postvention efforts. "This morning, we're here to respectfully request that your board adopt a resolution proclaiming the month of September 2026 as suicide prevention awareness month in King's County," she told the supervisors.
