Board approves six-month extension for Basalt Commons incentive agreements

The board authorized the agency manager to execute second amendments extending Basalt Commons incentive and development funding agreements to Aug. 19, 2026, giving the developer time for BOLI determinations, bank financing, appraisal and county property actions.

The Columbia Gateway Urban Renewal Agency authorized staff to enter second amendments extending previously agreed incentive terms for the Basalt Commons project through Aug. 19, 2026. Staff said the extension aims to allow time for four milestones: a BOLI (prevailing-wage) determination, verification that construction costs remain in the anticipated range, bank financing/appraisal steps, and the county’s decision on a property purchase or related approvals.
