The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County voted unanimously on Nov. 4, 2025 to end its contract with the Fort Benning stray facility after determining the vendor had not met the agreement's requirements. Commissioner Gerald Douglas moved to end the contract and Commissioner Jason Frost seconded; the minutes record the vote as unanimous.
