Panel backs technical changes to charitable-solicitation registration and reporting

The committee advanced a bill that raises registration thresholds and simplifies reporting: tax-exempt charities would register at $25,000 (was $20,000), charities raising under $10,000 need not register, and commercial co-venture campaign registration would trigger at $10,000. The Secretary of State’s office supported the changes.
