The Concordia Parish Police Jury voted on April 13 to begin the procurement process for a new solid-waste disposal contract ahead of the current agreement's August expiration. Juror Wilbert Washington moved to "start the process for proposals, scope of work, and bid for garbage disposal by April 30th," a motion seconded by Juror Maurice Bachus and approved unanimously.
