Councilors advanced two amendments to the zoning code on first reading: one would apply garage‑setback requirements only when garage doors are on a primary facade; the other would permit administrative review (instead of Board of Zoning Appeals) for requests to expand driveway widths beyond 18 feet at the property line for single‑ and two‑family lots established prior to Sept. 5, 2017.
