District presents bus behavior program, reports drop in elementary bus referrals
Rogers Public Schools officials presented a multi-year behavior-support program for buses and schools, showed a training video, and reported elementary bus referrals declined from 538 (2023) to 356 (2026) as the district implemented driver training, a bus matrix and monthly fidelity inventories.

Michelle Wright, director of behavior services, told the board the district tied classroom behavior systems to transportation, training drivers in trauma-informed approaches, common language and a bus matrix used across elementary schools and routes. "We told drivers that it starts with trust then connection which equals a good relationship," Wright said.
