Board hears how EP&O levy and general fund will support staffing and programs
Officials told the board that about 83% of projected general fund spending goes to salaries and benefits and that the EP&O levy (projected $14.648M) will fund unfunded classified and certificated positions, athletics, safety and professional development.

During the budget presentation Kyle Fletcher said a large share of district spending supports staffing: "About 83% of this goes towards staffing, salary, and benefits," he told the board when asked how much of the budget goes to personnel. Fletcher said that while the state provides base funding for certificated staff, many classified positions and additional certificated duties rely on local EP&O levy support.
