The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously among those present to waive the $50 special events permit fee for Friend of the Park for the Shake the Lake fireworks event scheduled for June 28, 2025. Commissioner Reba Murphy moved to waive the fee and Vice Mayor Jody Bauer seconded; the recorded vote was Reba Murphy — Aye; Jody Bauer — Aye; Leon Locke — Aye.
