During budget deliberations commissioners asked why the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office did not fully use previously appropriated funds and discussed a request to carry forward roughly $21 million. Administrator Abruzzo told the board that some of the sheriff's unspent dollars were capital items ordered but not yet received and that the sheriff asked to carry the balance forward.
