Committee delays data-center ordinance decisions, asks Georgia Tech proposal for more technical experts
The Judicial & Legislative Committee discussed a draft data-center ordinance and a Georgia Tech proposal to assist with engagement and drafting; councilmembers asked Georgia Tech to include acoustical, electrical, public-health and air-quality experts in the scope and directed staff to return with a refined proposal and more information.

The Judicial & Legislative Committee held an extended discussion on a draft Data Center Ordinance and a proposed Georgia Tech engagement to support community outreach, fiscal modeling and ordinance drafting. Counsel said the draft had been revised to include some counsel comments and that the Georgia Tech proposal and the ordinance were both available for committee review. "This draft ordinance is for consideration, for discussion," counsel said.
