Parks staff outlined a package of projects including improvements to Brumby Hall nd Gardens, a proposed pavilion at Elizabeth Porter Park and other smaller projects. Staff estimated the bridal-suite work at about $175,000 with an additional $75,000 for signage and identified a $39,000 ADA improvement item; staff said investments to the bridal room could conservatively add $40,000 a year in bridal-related revenue and create hotel-night occupancy and local economic spillover from weddings. "We feel pretty confident that we're going to be able to increase the revenue… getting us up to very, very conservatively $40,000 per year just through the bridal events," a parks presenter said.
