Commissioners appointed a member to the Medina County Library Board of Trustees and received the resignation and retirement notice of County Recorder Linda Hoffmann effective Sept. 8, 2026; the resignation triggers a special election for Recorder on the Nov. 2026 ballot and requires the appointed interim to run as a candidate.

Commissioner Colleen M. Swedyk presented a resolution to appoint a member to the Medina County Library Board of Trustees; Mr. Hambley moved to approve the resolution and Mr. Harrison seconded. Commissioners welcomed representatives from the Library Board who were present and approved the appointment by roll call AYE.
