The commission voted unanimously Sept. 1 to form an ad hoc ethics review committee to examine the county code of ethics and relevant state law, with a formal resolution to be presented at the September workshop meeting.

Commissioners voted to support creation of an ad hoc ethics review committee to examine the county's code of ethics and relevant state statutes. The clerk read a recommendation citing the state "ethics reform act" codified at TCA 8-17-101 and said the county had adopted the CTAS model ethics policy previously; Commissioner Satterfield moved to form the committee and the motion received a second.
