The Calvert County Board issued a proclamation recognizing National Emergency Medical Services Week, thanking volunteer and career EMS personnel and announcing events May 17-23. Chief Jim Richardson and other public-safety leaders described a response on August 18 when safety officer Mark Richmond collapsed during an attic fire and responders performed coordinated CPR and advanced life support.
