The committee approved and referred multiple Chapter 4 ordinance drafts (parking restrictions, unlawful telephone use, computerized communication misuse, loitering/prowling prohibition, golf cart operation on county highways, and theft of property) to the Administration Committee; most passed unanimously though two recorded No votes by Anders Hultstrom on telecommunications-related ordinances.

The Public Safety Committee on Aug. 27 voted to approve and refer a package of proposed Chapter 4 ordinances to the Administration Committee. The items included a new ordinance on stopping and parking (4.32B); unlawful use of telephone (4.34B); unlawful use of computerized communication systems (4.34C); prohibition of loitering and/or prowling (4.XX); operation of golf carts on Douglas County highways (4.XXX); and theft of property (4.XXXX). Most motions carried unanimously.
