On second reading the commission approved Ordinance ZR 26‑0001 rezoning roughly 58.31 acres in the community redevelopment area to a Downtown Mixed‑Use (DTMU) zoning district. Planning staff explained the change aims to replace a patchwork of multiple zoning districts with a single, cohesive code to encourage reinvestment and walkable downtown development.
