Comal ISD outlines corrective actions after Intruder Detection Audit
The district reported an Intruder Detection Audit conducted Sept. 10, 2024 and described corrective steps including in-person staff training Sept. 16–17, an Oct. 10 committee review, and tonight's required public notice as the third corrective action under TEA requirements.

The Comal ISD board received an update Oct. 24 from Mario De La Rosa, Executive Director of Safety & Security, on an Intruder Detection Audit that the district says required corrective action. "On September 10, 2024, an Intruder Detection Audit was conducted in Comal ISD which resulted in the need for corrective action," the minutes state. The district said it completed in-person training for campus staff and substitutes on Sept. 16–17 and that the District School Safety and Security Committee met Oct. 10; minutes of that committee meeting will be retained for compliance verification.
