Board approves $3,500 to widen E3 basin control structure opening to increase outflow
The Board approved MRI Construction Proposal #606 to widen the weir opening on the E3 Basin control structure to the maximum allowed width to improve outflow; the contract was approved for $3,500 on a unanimous motion.

District Engineer Charlie Krebs explained the proposal to widen the weir width on the E3 Basin control structure using a concrete saw so the structure approaches the maximum permitted width and increases the community's ability to move stormwater out of the basin. The discussion included the control structure location, scope of work and whether a manual open/close gate could be added.
