At a special meeting Aug. 31, 2026, the Nixon-Smiley CISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the Library Media Center Collection Development Policy. Trustee Chris Villasana moved that the board approve the policy, and Trustee Mark Mendez seconded the motion.
