Cole County commissioners approve design-build model for jail HVAC replacement
Cole County Commissioners voted unanimously to pursue a design-build procurement with a pre-bid meeting to replace jail HVAC units after an initial RFP motion was withdrawn.

Commissioner Harry Otto (Western District Commissioner) led the procurement discussion and moved first to issue an RFP for three replacement jail HVAC units with options for additional capacity; that motion was withdrawn during debate. Maintenance Director Greg Camp led the staff presentation on unit capacity requirements and bids. "Greg Camp led the discussion regarding bids for Jail HVAC units," the record states.
