Alachua County presented a case alleging the installation of an air‑conditioning unit without permits on a multi‑unit property in Gainesville (parcel 06819-020-093). Code officer Michael Williams said the complaint came from a citizen and that an initial notice set an August compliance date; the county requested a 30‑day compliance period and a $100‑per‑day fine if the respondent failed to obtain permits. County costs of $140 were reported.
