County discusses drone spraying, ditch maintenance and tree removal after tornado

County staff updated the board on vegetation-control work in county ditches and related maintenance. Staff said Hutch Drone Pro had sprayed large ditches from near the beezing area south to the county line and that drone spraying was considerably cheaper than hiring a helicopter; smaller ditches and certain locations are treated by backpack sprayers. "It was a lot cheaper than bringing in the helicopter," the presenter said of the drone work.
