Drexel Heights board votes to join Securis insurance pool for workers' comp
The board adopted Resolution 2026-06 to join Securis Insurance Pool, Inc. for cooperative workers' compensation and employers' liability coverage; Chief Chappell said the proposal is "budget neutral."

The Drexel Heights Fire District Governing Board adopted Resolution 2026-06 authorizing execution of an agreement to join Securis Insurance Pool, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation formed under A.R.S. 11-952.01(B), to obtain workers' compensation and employers' liability insurance cooperatively with other Arizona fire districts. The motion was moved by Chair Gary Bynum, seconded by James Bertrand, and passed unanimously, 4-0.
