The Drexel Heights Fire District Governing Board adopted amendments to the district fire code and authorized Resolution 2026-10 after a public hearing. Community Risk Reduction Director Dennis Stiegleiter told the board the changes are intended to match the Town of Sahuarita and the Santa Rita Fire District so inspectors use consistent standards; he said Rincon Valley plans to revisit its code to match as well. The board voted to adopt the amendments; the motion passed 3–1, with Laura Dailey voting against adoption.
