Council to hear presentations from five ATAX applicants before making 30% designations

Council discussed five applicants for the accommodations-tax (ATAX) 30% designation — Convention Center, Adventure, the zoo, Lake Murray Country and Ice House — and agreed to invite them to give timed presentations (suggested 7–10 minutes each). Members noted state statute allows the 30% to be split among multiple agencies and up to 15% can be used for workforce-housing purposes.
