On July 15 the Wallis City Council approved a 5.2 percent increase to the city's garbage collection rates. Councilmember Jimmy Lavergne moved to adopt the rate adjustment and Councilmember Clark Main Jr. seconded; the motion passed unanimously as recorded in the minutes.
