County schedules Sept. 11 hearing on upgrades to existing crypto-mining/data center
County staff said a Board of Adjustment hearing is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Environmental Learning Center to review modifications to an existing crypto-mining/data center near the Menards site; the changes would add cooling equipment, battery storage and a backup generator and are being treated as a modification to a legal nonconforming use.

County staff told the Muscatine County Board of Supervisors that a Board of Adjustment hearing will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the Environmental Learning Center to consider proposed upgrades to an existing crypto-mining/data center currently operating in the county near the Menards site.
