The Bennet City Council adopted an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan on Dec. 8, 2025 after a presentation by City Engineer Brian Schuele outlining recent changes. Mayor Ryan Cheney introduced the plan; Council Member Pete Simmons moved and Dan Zieg seconded the motion to approve Resolution 2025-11.3. The motion passed on a roll call vote with Council Members Buck, Schmidt, Simmons and Zieg voting yes.
