Commissioners back EDC application for rural building reuse grant
Mitchell County commissioners voted to support the Economic Development Commission’s application for a Rural Building Reuse grant from the North Carolina Department of Commerce; staff said an award is expected in mid-October and the application targets at least 24 new jobs and roughly $18 million in capital expansion tied to Project Highland.
