County approves Reece Construction pay request, holds payment pending bridge redesign and resumption
Doniphan County approved pay request No. 3 for Reece Construction for the RS380 bridge replacement ($315,036.97) but directed the clerk to hold the check until redesigned plans are approved and work resumes; county will retain 10% of total and the contractor expects roughly two weeks to finish after Sept. 1.

Reece Construction representatives told the Doniphan County Commission that engineers with Schwab-Eaton PA must approve redesigned plans before the contractor may re-enter the creek channel to finish RS380 bridge replacement on 240th Road. Reece estimated "a period of two weeks to complete the bridge project" once the redesign is approved and work resumes after the end of minnow spawning season on Sept. 1.
